Kids 'n Kritters

On Sunday, August 27, the Montrose Shopping Park Association will present its fifth annual "Kids 'n Kritters Day." Created by the Montrose Merchants as an end-of-the-summer event, "Kids 'n Kritters" is dedicated to activities of interest to children and families in the Crescenta Valley and the North Glendale Areas. Anchoring the event will be the popular Montrose Harvest Market, where more than 150,000 attendees visited in the last year to pick up fresh California Certified and organic produce, flowers, baked goods and specialty foods. The event also features a Thieves' Market where visitors can meet dealers selling antiques, collectibles and knickknacks, as well as artisans and public service booths.

In the "Kids' Korner" the Montrose Bounce Company and Tiny Tot's Gym will offer interactive attractions to entertain children and Heavenly Hand-led Ponies will take children in attendance on a personal walking tour of the event area. Wild Wonders will return by popular demand with their "Exotic Petting Zoo," featuring a hands-on visit with a crocodile, kinkajou, porcupine, python and many other unusual creatures.

Also returning will be Montrose Magic Show, starring "The Wizard Bruce: The 8 1/2 Wonder of the World" as well as "Mother Goose" whose wisecracking animal puppets interact with the crowd. The Montrose Merchants invite the public to shop, eat and stroll in the Montrose Shopping Park on Sunday, August 27 from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Bring the family and join in fun.
